Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do you have TIME LIMITS?: On our Special Day packages with complete coverage, we can be at the wedding until the Bride & Groom leave the reception if desired. (We do not have time limits.) With the Rehearsal Dinner Special Day Add-On's, we can also be at the Rehearsal and/or Rehearsal Dinner the night before the wedding.
Do I need to provide you with a LIST of pictures to take?: You may if you would like, but this is not necessary. We will automatically call on the Bride & Groom, Wedding Party, and Bride & Groom's Immediate Family (including Moms, Dads, Brothers & Sisters with their Spouses & Children, and Grandparents) for pictures to be taken.
Do you travel OUT-OF-TOWN?: Yes. Mason Photography is called on to photograph weddings all over the state of Mississippi and Out-of-State as well. We will inform you of any applicable travel fees when you contact us about your wedding.
Do you use others to photograph weddings for Mason Photography?: No. Mason Photography is a second generation family business and does not hire outside photographers to photograph weddings for us. We photograph each wedding personally. If we are already booked for your date and time, we will not be able to send someone else to photograph your wedding. Weddings are booked on a first come basis.
How do you dress to photograph a wedding?: Mason Photography is a professional company. We will be dressed in very appropriate church wedding attire. (suit and tie, dress) No jeans, t-shirts, shorts, etc....
What kind of CAMERA do you use?: We actually bring several cameras to every wedding (for safety and backup), not just a single camera. We presently use Professional Digital Still cameras for pictures, and Professional 3CCD broadcast quality camera for our Ceremony Movie DVD and Rehearsal Dinner DVD Add-On's.
What does someone do with a PASSWORD?: Passwords are used to view Mason Photography's Weddings on the Web. We have the capability of putting the ENTIRE set of wedding pictures up on the internet for family and friends anywhere to see. They can then order themselves through Mason Photography's Online Ordering Center. If you have a password for a wedding, Click Here to view the wedding pictures. If you do not have a password for a wedding online, you will have to contact the Bride & Groom for the appropriate password. (Mason Photography typically does not give out passwords once we leave the wedding/reception.)
How much are additional INDIVIDUAL PICTURES?: Please see Individual Picture Prices.
What if others don't have Internet access to order?: We can give you some order form/envelopes that you can use to help Family/Friends order directly. They can mail their orders, or if using a Major Credit Card, they can phone us with their order, or even fax it to us.
Are pictures ordered by others shipped directly to them?: Yes. When others order pictures, discs, etc..., their orders are normally sent directly to them. Shipping/Handling charges start at $2.95 for online orders, $3.95 for mail orders, and will be automatically added to each order.
How long do I have to order pictures?: Once online, all weddings remain online for at least 1 month and orders can be placed anytime while the wedding is online. Additionally, wedding pictures typically may be ordered for up to 5 months from the actual wedding date. Beyond 5 months, pictures may no longer be available.
Do you have DVD's available?: Yes. Mason Photography has many DVD's available. The Wedding Picture DVD is a menu driven DVD showing the entire set of color Wedding Images from your wedding. Our Ceremony Movie DVD is like a video tape of your wedding. The Rehearsal Dinner DVD is also like video taping the Rehearsal and/or Dinner the night before the wedding. Discs are DVD+R format, DVD-R available.
I hear your DVD's contain "Easter Eggs"?: That is correct. Our Ceremony Movie DVD's contain what is called "Easter Eggs", or secret keystroke sequences that show bonus material that doesn't appear on the menu. However, half the fun of DVD Easter Eggs is that you have to find them, so....
Do you VIDEO TAPE weddings?: Mason Photography offers a Ceremony Movie DVD Special Day Add-On. The DVD contains a Movie (live action/sound) of the ceremony (processional to recessional) in addition to some reception footage. The menu driven DVD disc provides you with a lasting memory of your wedding that will not degrade with each playing in the same way video tape does. This is single camera coverage from your wedding guests' perspective. DVD+R format disc, DVD-R available. (Must have DVD player capable of playing disc.)
Can I watch my wedding on my Video iPod^®?: Yes! You can watch your ceremony and reception movie files on your Video iPod^®. If Mason Photography is video taping your wedding to DVD, ask us about how to get movie files for your Video iPod^®. It looks spectacular! (iPod® is a registered trademark of Apple, Inc.)
Will you "VIDEO TAPE" weddings you don't photograph?: Yes. Mason Photography does offer Ceremony Movie DVD services for weddings we don't photograph. "Video Taping" to DVD costs $599 plus tax, and Deluxe "Video Taping" to DVD costs $999 plus tax. Please see Other Wedding Services for more information. Contact Mason Photography within 1 month of your wedding date for this service. (First come basis only, No advanced bookings accepted)
Can I get a large DIGITAL FRAME like I saw at the reception?: Yes. You can have a large 16x20 Digital Frame* that can display your complete set of wedding images. It can hang on your own wall and change the images automatically. You can change the speed, or pause on any image you choose. It is truly spectacular! The cost for the frame with all of your wedding images is only $1995 plus tax. It's even INCLUDED in the "Once in a Lifetime" Extra Special Day package! (*approximate 11x14" viewable size)

What ALBUMS do you have?: We have a variety of albums from Single to Quad Size, albums with Metallic pages, and even Flush albums. We also have available General Products Fully Matted albums in your choice of Genuine Bonded Leather or EuroBond which hold 4x5, 5x7, & 8x10 size pictures all in one album. General Products albums also come with your name and date imprinted on the front. Albums can also be purchased individually. Current Album Pricing
